When it comes to security, MySQL is considered the more secure option. Unlike MongoDB, MySQL has built-in features that allow the data to be encrypted and restrict user access. This can make it more difficult for hacking attempts to be successful. On the other hand, MongoDB also has some security features and additional access control options.
In conclusion, both databases have their own strengths and weaknesses. When deciding which one to use for a project, it is important to consider the type of project it is, as well as any specific needs that the project might have. For static applications, MySQL may be the better option, while those wishing to store large amounts of data may find that MongoDB fits better. Ultimately, it is up to the developer to decide which one offers the best fit for their project.
