systemd Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0 将继续使用 cgutils，但systemd 改进了让用户在今后的发行本中进行迁移的能力。
openssh OpenSSH 包含拥有类似功能的工具，并采用更活跃的维护标准和更活跃的开发和维护代码库。
64 位架构 应用程序仍将使用兼容库运行。在 64 位 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 中测试您的程序。如果需要 32 位引导支持，请继续使用 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6。
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 也使用 gnome-disk-utility。注：应在较简单的任务中使用 system-storage-manager，而使用 lvm2 命令进行微调或者用于与 LVM 有关的更复杂的操作。
vconfig 的所有功能都由iproute 软件包中的 ip 工具提供。详情请查看 ip-link(8) manual page。
system-config-firewall 仍作为用于静态环境的防火墙备选解决方案的一部分与 iptables 服务一同使用。
由于相依性极为复杂，Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0 软件频道不再提供digiKam 图片管理程序。
GNOME 显示管理程序，GDM GNOME 显示管理程序是 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0 的默认显示管理程序。注：仍可使用 KDE（K 桌面环境），并提供支持。
